Frequently Asked Questions
1. Why does a company need occupational safety outsourcing?
Occupational safety outsourcing provides professional supervision and legal security without using the company’s internal resources to maintain an in-house specialist. It ensures that all documentation and the practical working environment comply with the current legal requirements of the Republic of Latvia, protecting management from administrative penalties and downtime caused by workplace accidents.
2. How often must workplace risk assessments be carried out?
In accordance with regulatory requirements, workplace risk assessments must be carried out at least once a year. However, extraordinary risk assessments are required whenever working conditions change, new technologies are introduced, an accident occurs, or the workplace layout is modified.
3. What is included in mandatory occupational safety documentation?
The standard documentation package includes orders for establishing the occupational safety management system, workplace risk assessments, an action plan for risk prevention, employee training and instruction logs, a list of personal protective equipment (PPE), and a list of employees to be sent for mandatory health checks (MHC).
